Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA) has a Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) where community volunteers help individuals with simple tax situations in filing their tax returns for free.
Currently both the CRA Whitehorse employees and the CVITP volunteers are working from home.
How to Get Help
To get connected with a CVITP volunteer please call the CRA Whitehorse office phone line at either 1-833-615-2383 (toll-free) or 867-393-6836 (Whitehorse local) and leave a message with your name and phone number. The workers check messages several times a day and will connect you with a volunteer.
Through the CVITP the workers in Whitehorse have access to the Canada Revenue Agency web system and can review tax files, upcoming payments, print off information slips, and other services to make sure the volunteers have current and correct information to help you file a return.

Tax filing season has been extended from April 30th to June 1st, 2020.
